EMOTION

Rid me of emotion

It’s dragging me down

If it carries on rising

I’m going to drown

Emotion

Battered and broken

No break from

The waves of

Your verbal berates

I’m now susceptible

And wide open

Your outward displays

Of whispering love

Containing

Unrestrained

Inward hate

Eroding away

Exposing

My expression

Of despair

And hate

Pride snatched

Despite pleading

It’s traded for

Scraps of feeling

Begging won’t

Penetrate

The doctor

Is on hand

To give me a potion

To cure me of this

Painful emotion

Vaccinated

From your shoves

Numb to your

Whispers

of distaste

Even your

Cold fucks

Void of

Warm kisses

I will be able

To tolerate

I’ll crash down

With no sound

I’ll shut my eyes

Whilst keeping

Them wide open

To break my fall

There will be

No ground

I’ll just keep falling

Until I come back

Around

Once my emotion

Has been put away

I’ll take a spade

Dig a shallow grave

I’ll draw a map

And X will mark

The spot

On the day

When I escape

My emotion

I will locate

And place it

In it’s final

Resting place

the more emoption you show, the more likely you are to be punished. sad but true. a lovely read with an uplifting ending.
