Georgie Porgie Pudding and Pie

Kissed the girls and made them cry

But before he ever made them cry

He made them feel that they could fly

Deluded heart, deluded brain

The vision of a higher plane

Where two like minds could truly meet

And dare their destiny to cheat

Sunset and an open sea

Sweet mystery of poetry…

Georgie Porgie Pudding and Pie

Kissed the girls and made them cry

But when he took away that kiss

Did their hearts harden just like his?

Is hurt the stink that we pass on

To others once all trust has gone?

The schoolyard such a cruel place

Life lessons there for all to face

Lesson one in all of this

Think carefully just who you kiss

Georgie Porgie Pudding and Pie

Kissed the girls and made them cry

Did more than kiss, to me it seems

Pissed well and truly on their dreams

Without a word to walk away

And kiss again another day

But if he were bastard then they were tarts

So easily their lips to part

Best cut them off, throw them away

No good can ever come that way

Georgie Porgie Pudding and Pie

Kissed the girls and made them cry

But when the men come out to play

Then Georgie Porgie runs away

Hi Joan,
i read this earlier in the week and liked it then.
It says so much and yet is written with some humour which is why i like it.

Georgie Porgie starts his antics in the playground, and revisits us throughout our adult life it seems to me Joan. We just have to learn to recognise him in his different guises!!
Very succinctly put!!
