Bow window

Life is.....

Like looking through glass

In a bow window.......

The view you have

Depends on where you're stood

Looking in....

Can be very distorted

If seen through

A bullseye glass.

We like to think we have a clear view

Of all we see and do

Oh! How we delude ourselves....

Or is that just me?

Would be perfect if I could only stand

Dead centre

Through clear glass

Have a straight forward look at all  that is there

Laid out and in plain view

And you were very insightful to condense your expansive thoughts to these few simple but very strong words that speak volumes. I think this ability is a poet's gift.

Thanks Ledger. This was something I wrote a long time ago as a very long poem of explanation about different views and perspectives on life. I decided I didn't need the explanation!

Thank you David. Never realised so much can be said in so few words.
