For an eternity, it seemed, chaos had reigned,
But we had not yet found tranquility.
Underneath the heat of the sun, our energy was drained,
And we could not find balance or stability.

For the weather had not yet changed our spirits,
All hope seemed to have left with the coming of the storm.
A voice called out to us, but we couldn't hear it,
Instead, we fell in line, looked to our leaders, and conformed.

A generation lost, all imagination stripped,
No sensation, just frustration, and a burden we now bear.
Our hearts, straight from our chests, were ripped,
No creative minds left free, just fear and despair.
