Why?
On the thirteenth of November
All the news turned black
Occurring all over in Paris
Had been terrorist attacks
Many people had been murdered
Whilst enjoying a night out
Starting with conviviality
Ending with screams and shouts
All in the name of religion
It made my blood run cold
How can people do this?
How can they be so bold?
Young people with suggestive minds
Are force fed information
Never questioning, always following
Seems part of indoctrination
With religious ideology
They never seem to pause
And consider what they're doing
In furthering the cause
They seek the highest accolade
In committing these atrocities
By dying as religious martyrs
And fuelling animosity
All extremists are the same
From one religion to another
The opinion from alternate views
Is the thing they try to smother
But they can't all by right
As something just has to give
We all breath the same air
Upon this small planet we live.
