Become A Little Sage
Whilst it's true that I was born at a rather early age
Somehow I have survived long enough to become a little sage
To leave behind some of my points of view
Some quite long held though others I still review
Many perchance you will have read before
In verse I posted here for all to explore
Amid those words joined up in strings
Are stories of my life and other things
The way I see the world today
And how I value what others say
The praise I leave for those I found
To have kept to values very sound
Men that left their mark for sure
Ghandhi, Lennon and so many more
Of whom I still hope to find some time
To reveal my thoughts in another rhyme
The form I find that I can yet express
All that I value about them best
So watch here for another day
When more scribbles I will leave to say
This man or woman really made me think
While others did sadly make my heart sink
Mark Chapman one I would have wished
To have never shot or at least have missed
But time will not let me roam for long
The future is not one for all my songs
One day will dawn when words will no more leave
My mark upon the screen as I believe
Mortality will surely end that flow
Just when of course I cannot know
