1.Just Browsing
I was wondering and I figured
I probably wasn’t the first to wonder
So I thought I’d see what
The Global community had to say
Opened my favourite browser and typed
“Should Porn be Illegal?” then hit Enter
“Did you mean Popcorn?”
Popcorn? No, I bloody well didn’t
That’s three letters I’d have to have missed out
Anyway, Cinema-goers, relax, don’t worry
Popcorn is not illegal
Just doesn’t taste very nice
Try another browser,
This one sounds better, a bit more wily.
“Did you mean Chess?”
Chess? Chess? No I bloody didn’t

And some quite handy recipes.
Hmm. Try again. “Is it illegal to watch Porn?”
“Did you mean Pawn?”
No, No, No. I bloody well did not
And, despite the apparent rising price of Gold
I’m not ready to sell Gran’s stuff off yet
But, I’ve bookmarked that one, just in case.
I give up, just have to carry on risking it
Perhaps the Library will know?
Probably not.
Anyway, think I’ll pop in and see
Before my stupid bloody browser
Doesn’t recognise the word ‘Library’ at all.
The lilt of words, the sounds, rhythm and suspense
Gently flowing like a slowly babbling brook
Soothing with their own unique cadence
The jarring of words, discordant, blunt and brutal
Crashing through the barriers like a wrecking-ball
Sweat inducing, many of them harsh and cruel
The thought-provoking words, challenging and intense
Raising questions, packing a punch, throwing down the gauntlet
The very power of words, constantly immense
A
