Rest in peace
The human race cannot find peace
Not even in death are we allowed to rest
We must 'look down on others and send signs'
But think of a place where there is no time
A state in between death and resurrection
Where you have no thoughts
No worries, stress or crime
It'll only last a second
A blink of an eye
But you won't regret it
To rest in peace, not in the sky
To lie in a state of unknowing
In God's presence
A simple second of freedom
Of quiet and blessing
Why is that so bad? I ask
When you tell me my daughter is a angel looking down
I say no, there is no peace in that
No peace in missing her mother and dad
You'll see in the end it's for the best
To give her a moment, a second to rest
She's with the Lord in a peaceful state
But, she'll rise again and it's okay to wait
