Man Flu
We look for sympathy but we always fail.
Yet trials on mice have proved my tale.
'Man flu' exists, I've checked it out online.
And Google never lies, well not this time!
Woman of course will dispute this claim.
And will argue that flu has no such strain.
But tell that to the mice, tell that to me.
Look at me suffering, what do you see?
Symptoms shared by men in the same boat.
High temp,feverish, that awful sore throat.
Typically though,I never moan or complain.
Just like most blokes,we're all the same!
No medicines help, there's no known cure.
Immune systems weak,our resistance poor.
It's down to the hormones us poor men lack.
And scientific studies these claims will back!
But woman still won't believe or understand.
That nature dealt us men such a poor hand.
The Man Flu jokes and jibes will continue still.
Told by woman who could never feel this ill!

One of "Mother" Nature's little plans to ensure that Man
- like some other life forms - are designed to impregnate
and die, leaving the female to nurture and protect the
offspring, requiring a longer life free from the hazards
of health depreciation before the offspring can survive
and take over in their turn.
