Fog
The fog is rolling in covering the city
It will not disappear for another five days
Leaving the folks breathless, brought out by the black haze
Forcing the town's council to form a committee
They will explore options to rid itself of blur
Channeling consultants in every matter
Writing up briefing notes that tabloids will splatter
Pointing wrinkly fingers and seeking blame transfer
After all resources have been used by the town
The fog finally left, seeing sunshine return
But the coffers vanished from the past moments yearn
The mayor is ridiculed and treated like a clown
For spending for nothing that natural progress
Left the city clearer after the blackened distress
