HOME CHRISTMAS EVE
The old familiar room relaxes
the slipper fits
the window lets your light out
to do its wandering
and pretence is unwrapped
and the spaceship sits
and this is home base
everything in place.

I must do a follow up, otherwise the esteemed gentlemen will fade away. Maybe he can be in a Jermyn Street setting being pampered next time (obviously in a time machine).

Thanks David. I think we should muck about with fairy tales if we're in the bubble. All's fairy and squary in love and war. Xmas like all human constructions can be pretentious I think.
