Captivation...
a person.
I held onto a moment and it spilled into several
in the city, where I pondered along the streets
as the leaves fell and the colours changed,
I filled my thoughts with roses.

You are very welcome to Colin, in fact please do. I'm a great believer in reinventing literature. You could say there is a hint of nihilism and/or existentialism to my writings. I'm now off to Google nihilistic poems...
Thanks,

this reminds me of those little nihilistic poems that were once fashionable and still have the ability to capture me for a transitory moment. If I was to rewrite this in the aforementioned it would become this:
I held onto a moment and it spilled into several
I filled my thoughts with roses.
those two lines just jumped out at me and made me smile and remember so much. Hope you don't mind me playing with your words and reinventing for my own childish delight? Thanks for posting. Colin.
