Laura, sorry, I've only just watched this as I couldn't open the link on iPad and eventually thought to search for it on YouTube!
Great choice of setting, the traffic noise definately adds atmosphere. And I think your delivery is excellent, it sounds really gritty and expresses so much emotion. I could really feel the plight of the people on the estate in your words.
I haven't performed live yet Laura (although I used to sing in a band) but I'm learning from you about performance, because this is essentially great acting. Brilliant.

Hey elP - well thank you very much ? So glad you enjoyed it. Shame you live so far away - if you liked this, you'd love a live performance. Thanks again!

Wow, Laura..I'm glad I finally sat still long enough to watch this. It's my first viewing of a reading and I really am impressed. Your facial expression and the emotional conveyance in your voice enhance the writing to such a great degree that it becomes apparent exactly how much a reader can potentially overlook--a real sense of anger, disillusionment, and disgust.
Thanks immensely for posting.

Hahaa - nice edit Stu ?
Ta la
clever bugger.
edit - bloody clever bugger.
Thank you very much David. It was worth getting up early to get there - no people around to put me off! Yeh, I quite like that you can hear the M62 traffic and birdsong when it pans away ?
Cheers, appreciate your comments.

Cheers chuck ? I'd say it's not so much acting, as getting it to sound exactly how it did in your head when you wrote the thing. And not being too self-conscious to express the emotions originally felt. If you want any hints or tips on performing, give me a shout ?
