Get a Life
'Get a life' They said. So I did
I stopped saving my time in the bank of 'one day'
I stopped snatching moments and looking forward to five minutes peace
I started spending my time
I spent it generously
As if I was the time millionaire
I spent hours freely gazing at the stars
Wrapped in blanket, mug of tea warming my hands
Watching the flames from a garden fire fly heaven wards
I spent aeons looking at the ocean
The rushing forth and tugging back of waves
I spent a fortune in moments following seagulls across the sky
And listening to the chirruping of invisible birds in leafy trees
I'm spending my time as if it will never run out
And of course, it won't, not until
I've spent every last penny

Colin: I have also thought many times about going into the woods, sitting with my back to a lovely old oak, with a bottle of single malt and singing myself into oblivion. The idea of wolves making a meal of my carcass is preferable to the idea of being in the hands of undertakers and suffering whatever it is theydo with embalming fluid.
