Groundhog Day: Movie Review
Groundhog Day is about a weatherman named Phil who's out to cover the annual emergence of the groundhog from its hole. He gets caught in a blizzard that he didn't predict and finds himself trapped in a time warp. He is doomed to relive the same day over and over again until he gets it right.
Bill Murray did a phenomenal job playing Phil Connors becuase he really showed how unpredicteable he can get. The scene he did the best job as Phil Connors was when he told Rita he was "God", she didn't believe him not one bit so he had to show her that he was "God" by telling her the people names and their background. He also predicted the weather (Neat!!!!)
Andie MacDowell also did a phenomenal job playing as Rita Hanson because she really made that character "come to life." The scene she did the best was the same scene she didn't believe that Phil Connors (Bill Murray) was "God", then at the party scene... she brought Phil for $300 something dollars and 88 cents. She was the best character alongside Bill Murray.
The director of this wonderful flim: Harold Ramis who directed Ghostbusters (1 and 2), Back to School, Club paradise, and many others did a phenomenal job inside and outside his fliming carrer. In May 2010, Ramis contracted an infection that resulted in complications from inflammatory and lost the ability to walk. After relearning to walk he suffered a relapse of the disease in late 2011. He died of complications of the disease on February 24, 2014 at age 69.
My overall opinion about this movie... I give it a 10 because its fmaily friendly. I recommend every family see this movie!!!!
