July 1st, Ottawa
The disorganized mess of Ottawa’s party
As the celebrations for country’s one-fifty
As the line-ups were slow for the bag check shifty
And the royal visit, unnecessary Charlie
Applauding the city for no terror attack
Yet the fun atmosphere was lost in barricades
As the wisdom for wit to balance of fair trades
All the empty events because of mindless stack
Are we now so afraid that we ruin our events
The milestones of lifetime for the sake to protect
As the testimony of the local fan sect
Shall we do better job to scrutinize our rents
As we all want to smile in grand gathering place
A celebration bang for the red and white space
