That's good, but some people are a little bit more vunerable to the effects of criticism. It's to easy, on the net, to hurl abuse and run. Some take it to heart, people need to realise this and be more responsible with their views.

Hi Tony
I put a note on my Profile, stating, basically, that what I had posted was exactly what I wanted to say at the time that I posted the blog.
My rubbish is my rubbish.
Nope I didnt miss your point and I understand perfectly where you are coming from. But most regular contributors on here dont mind a bit of input. Where the problem starts in my opinion is when a poem is "edited" by several improvers to the point where the poem becomes unrecognisable as the original. I have seen this done, and would find that totally unacceptable if it were mine!!
You miss my point, as I thought might happen. My concern is not at a personal level, I am used to taking criticism from professional critics and I am more than thick skinned enough to take it. It is for the others on here and elsewhere who may feel put down or intimidated or even confused by others unqualified 'opinions'. You can only be true to your own judgment and creativity, as I said, if people like it great, if they don't, then they can just put it to the side...
Hi Tony, Ive read your poem which I enjoyed, and personally wouldnt have changed. However I would just say that on this site if you choose to post your poems, you sometimes get peeps being open and honest about how they feel about it. You can either ignore it {which I usually do} or take heed of what a fellow poet has to say and have a little play around with it and tweak it {as I did only once thanks to Cynthia} which improved it.If it is not acceptable to you to have it criticised, then maybe you could put an appendix on the bottom telling everyone that this is the final draft and to lay off!!!!

"Oh how I wish I could laugh out loud in the silent confusion!". The one thing I despair about in the poetry world is that everyone wants to repaint your picture rather than accept that it is your picture in your style and with your colours. If you like the picture, then that's great, if you don't, well that's fine too, but please don't try to touch up my work, rather paint your own. I offer it up for your enjoyment...as I'm sure many do, but they all must be wary of the art critics, they only foster a creativity of doubt and insecurity....There's the old saying, which is meaningful here..."If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all". Please don't mistake my comments as being vengeful, they aren't, I accept that if I offer up my work, it will be criticised, and indeed is, globaly. In itself it is a form of flattery that people have been hooked enough to have an opinion. However, I work extensively in the poetry world and in education etc, and have seen many talented people destroyed by people who 'know better'. In my experience, though, they rarely do.
My point is made, I do not open the door to do battle.
