Dreams of you

I dreamt of you last night, with your glistening eyes
Looking at me with lust yet only a shadow
As the terms of pardon fell flat on the meadow
So you're just a figment as much as I give my tries

Come back to me saintly with a welcoming smile
To warm embrace that follows path of least resistance
Yet with knowledge of crime that ended imputence
Towards a new normal without you in my life

Everlasting commit to the prison of deeds
That lead to harsh life terms with no chance of parole
Hard times behind the bars as the fist of the mole

So I can only dream for your lifetime new needs
To close out the chapter and to open new book
Looking back in horror, to see your evil look
