Resurrected
Resurrected
Glancing from window
Into soft white snow wrapping
Signs of spring?
Long yellow catkins from twisted hazel
Where remains of distressed thoughts hung
Decaying yet diminishing as troubles often do
Frozen pond where jelly spawn from
Spent dead frogs was now protected
Ready to emerge as warmth re-appeared.
Tender plants pausing
Enclosing fat buds as if they had personal knowledge
Of coming balmy days
Cold icy winds pruning brittle stems
Whilst blackbird sheltered in half finished nest
And occasionally appeared nearby to re-energise
With soft rotten apple especially left for this purpose
Occasional early colour hardly diminished
Waiting to magically revive
As white cover modified structure to become liquid
To achieve resurrection.

Lovely imagery in this poem.... I slespecially like the personification of troubled thoughts....
Where remains of distressed thoughts hung
Decaying yet diminishing as troubles often do
And personification here
Tender plants pausing
And here ......
Cold icy winds pruning brittle stems
Very powerful poem
