Develop your writing skills at a University of Manchester creative writing course open to the public. The course will be led by Creina Mansfield and will be held on 8 consecutive Wednesdays from 1:30 - 3:30 pm starting 23 January 2008 at a cost of £112.00. Venue for the course is the Ellen Wilkinson Building, Oxford Road (Close to the Contact Theatre) Manchester.

The course aims to develop students' writing through discussion of their work and application of learned techniques including:
*Revision of key components of writing, such as characterization, plot and point of view.
*Practice exercises
*Reading work aloud to receive feedback from the tutor and members of the class.
*Commenting constructively on others' work
*Opportunities to discuss issues of concern to writers
Please submit a sample of your writing with your
application to join the course (exceptions will be those who have successfully
completed the previous term's course.)
It is desirable that students have previously attended a taught creative
writing class, or can demonstrate previous writing experience.
