Goldilocks (and the Three Bears)
She had golden blonde hair,
walked into a forest
and found a house
There were three
bowls of porridge;
cold, hot, and right
There she ate them up,
and fell tired on
chairs of three
One was too big,
the other one too,
the last was just right
There she broke
the chair in pieces
and walked up
There were three
sets of bedding;
Hard, soft, and right
She slept in the bed
until the family came home
to see their items touched
There someone ate
the porridge and finished
Baby’s bowl right
There someone sat
in their chairs and broke
Baby’s chair right
There someone slept
in their beds and still
in Baby’s bed right
There with the golden blonde hair,
she woke up to find
three bears beside her
Filled with fright,
she screamed and ran
out towards the window
She fell and kept running
away into the forest
never to see the bears again.
Wait…let’s go back
to when she awoke
to see the bears
There she screamed and ran
but the Papa and Mama bears
ran after her and caught
A lock of hair ripped out,
and the bears toppled over
to see the girl had run
There she had cuts and marks
from the teeth and claws
and into the dark forest,
She never saw the bears again.
