WOULD YOU?

If you were in a garden full of flowers

with some weeds

Would you look at the flowers

and enjoy their beauty

or

Would you look at the weeds

thinking the gardener needs

to do a better job?

LOL you are all great! What fun. I love this group. Life pulls me away but this is a place I love to come back to. Fellow thinkers?

Nice to see you on here Lynn. Without wishing to sound like Monty Don, I think an area dedicated to whatever arrives is a good idea, especially for the wildlife; but I get grumpy with weeds taking over amongst prized specimens. I bought a long handled weeder recently. Beware you smug invaders. Rambles in the brambles Col!

I think, with a little more flesh, this would work very well as a Koan!

I love my weeds at this time of the year. But am ruthless with them when they get out of hand. Every so often we all need a haircut - even gardens.

God Lynn that's a tough one. Shall I spend all day thinking about it, or just forget it now?

that's a tough one Lynn - kinda depends on my mood on any given day - I guess that's why we might interpret the same 'life' scenarios in different ways according to our moods.

I must admit I have the same dilemma with my little patch of the planet that I tend daily. The wildflowers and weeds give sustenance to the insects, birds and bees but there is a need for some order too. And, from experience, if the wild 'n' weedy patches get ignored for too long they soon get overgrown with brambles. Like inside our heads! Grrr, I don't know what the answer is - some sort of compromise I suppose - but that takes discipline! I hate fighting nature (and myself lol) but I also hate catching myself on brambles.

Nice one Lynn. Hope you are keeping well. Col.
