Love is Fire

Come, light a match with

tingling fingers to ignition.

Flames kindle and prance in petalled shades of romance,

or burn like the sun.

Love is fire,

No fire is safe.

They burn like mischief and adventure,

like winter shoots trembling under Spring's dark crust,

bursting up with exuberance.

Love is like that too.

Love is gentle, love is kind

love is forceful, love is blind,

Love fuels each other and those about are drawn to heat, and lovelight.

Love is fire.

like this poem and it reminds me of one I wrote about a year ago... called Burning Desire on my blog page. So many metaphors to do with fire and flames around subject of love...
