GAPS WHERE WORDS SHOULD BE

When he said there are no words

I knew he told the truth,

and love poured in to heal the wound

where words would try to help.

I know you can't describe a gap

in lives so badly rent,

but nothing's lost that's truly learned

and lessons taught when truly earned

to help by kind consent.

Thanks Don. Nice to be appreciated ( and no 4 letter words!)

David, You're right about gaps - beyond description. Just a sentiment all told.

Rachel, thanks, I like to try to be uplifting sometimes.

A nice compliment Laura, thank you. You especially know how easy it is to derail a poem. I appreciated your advice from the start.

Got it Martin, many thanks. I'm glad that came over.

Thanks for all the likes folks: Keith, Darren, Anya, Pat.

This seems to speak of something profound and philosophical in its outlook.

Nice one Ray,

That is so good Ray. It lilted along like one of my rhymes in perfect meter needing no end-rhyme. It encapsulated all you wanted to say in a small space which held my attention. Well done ?
