Is it the bend?
Or is it the reach?
Decides what we're after
I ask, I beseech
Or is it the reach?
And not the bend?
Decides what we're after
To satisfy our end

You have it there sir. Ambiguity is, as Bart Simpson said "Your dammed if you do and you're dammed if you don't"
Don it's the bend and reach that defines the purpose.
Or is it?
lol

I like this Tommy. My read is that the words you've played around with (and discarded, not used? ) are scattered around making a mess. Time to pick them up and who knows what do do with them when picked up...
A lot left to the imagination here. Guess it could be interpreted many ways. Simple and compact. I like it

Another winner Tommy. Those final couple of lines make the whole piece.
Nice one
