Jumping for peace

I saw the pain in his eyes as he closed them for the last time.

I could almost hear his thoughts, as he continued to climb.

I saw the fake smile that was crookedly painted on his lips.

I could almost hear the words of his family as they had to come to grips.

I saw the tear roll down his untouched pale cheek.

I could almost hear the words he was too fragile to speak.

I saw the man jump carelessly to the awaiting ground.

I could almost hear his voice make a frightened sound.

I saw the blood that had stained the ground crimson.

I could almost hear the pain that he had so beautifully hidden.
