The True Life of A Poor Kid Lyrics

[intro:]
This isn't about race
It's the poor versus the 1%
If they get their way
They'll make it about race

[Verse 1:]
I'm going to get a little political
I'm a liberal until the day I die
Just because we have different politics doesn't mean anything
Antifa stop punching everyone you think it's a Nazi
MLK told us that words are more powerful so use them
Violence only makes a villain for the media

[Hook:]
Gun violence is at an all-time high
Corrupt politics of trying to kill the poor
So get out the chair and start protesting
We can't continue living like this

[Verse 2:]
I don't care about the color your skin
We all bleed the same
The media wants to put us against each other
If they know that we can make change if we come together
So let's change your mindset
Because of racism doesn't help anyone

[Hook:]
Gun violence is at an all-time high
Corrupt politics of trying to kill the poor
So get out the chair and start protesting
We can't continue living like this

[Verse 3:]
So here's a pitchfork and I'll have the torch it's ready
We will Riot until the government listens to us
There is 10 billion people in this world
So how many people have to die from guns before government listens
Opium use on an all-time high parvati is growing even worse
Donald Trump is dose not care about America
He only cares about his 1% fuck Buddy's

[outro:]
This isn't about race
It's the poor versus the 1%
If they get their way
They'll make it about race

A pertinent post about social distrust and financial
inequality. But there has always been the failure of
politicians to solve the latter situation...certainly easier
said than done anyway in a world in which we harbour no
resentment towards those in sport/entertainment taking
grotesque sums of money, even after tax. Envy instead
turns in other directions and that breeds unrest because
there are always going to be people who are better off or
with better opportunities. It has always been so.
If you're going to rise
First - rise above the lies.
