Hotel Grandeur

As I stand on the balcony,

i stare at the world

or at least the tiny part of it that I can see.

The hotel is grand,

a truely magnificent display

and I feel small just in the lobby.

I feel out of place amid the happy tourists

ready to have fun for the rest of the day

and tomorrow.

I wish I could say the same,

but this is a one-night stop

at the hotel of my dreams.

I was so impressed,

i wish we could stay

for a much longer visit

at the hotel Grandeur.

(That’s not the actual name, by the way)
