HOPE

How many dark places

have I been

Has there been too many

Did I die?

My heart feels so heavy

will I let you hold it

will I let you have it

I want to

The tears choke me

they stop my breath

Did I die?

God I hope not

I want to accept

the new life

ahead of me

I want to embrace it

and

You

Walking into the light

can be blinding

Your eyes need to adjust

will I adjust?

God...

I hope so.

This is good Lyn. Transition from a dark past into hoped-for new beginning flowed effortlessly through the piece ?
