Yes, These Words I Wrote

_e_friend has

p, n lost

But at what

What a cost?

Once we wrote

With pen and ink

Now it's all

Gone down the sink

Art of letter

Writing's dead

Down the wire

Quick, done, said

Makes me sad

This is dead

Written letters

Which we read

No more time

To relax

Now we're pushed

To the max

We have lost

How to connect

Face to face

Upfront, direct

Text a message

While you walk

Passer by

No “hi” talk

So...

Wrote a note

To my friend

“Yes, these words

Friend, I wrote”

Thankyou for all your range of views here.

Yes, emails have their advantages (and disadvantages). They are quick and easy

Anya got what I meant. Letters have a soul. If someone had taken the time to write you a hand-written letter with pen and ink how would it make you feel?.....

Emails have their place
In society
Trouble there's no art
In it for you or me

Show me there's no art
Composing. writing letters
My life would be richer
Receiving one, yes better ?

To write a letter is better.
Too late to become a trend setter.
Unfortunately we are very lazy.
Our letter writing skills are getting hazy.
So we must turn to writing poems instead,
Exercising the brain within our head.

I am not sure what is better, writing a letter on an infrequent, less stressful basis, or emails passing back and forth very quickly adding to stress.

The latter is not going away so, I guess we should just learn to relax about our amount and speed of emails.

Don My brother has lived in Canada for more than 20 years. When we had to write actual letters they were few and far between. With email we now write more often because it is less bother to do so.
