Escape Fantasy
To get away, escape My troubling reality My own doing, it's clear Though in duality
From cold wind and rain Feeling trapped and closed-in To blue skies and openness The absence of din
From tension and stress And work without end To peace love and laughter In the arms of a friend
From where rulebooks and strictures And morals abound To where sensual freedom And pleasures are found
From things lost but not missed Forgotten with time To sensations reawakened Old rhythm, new rhyme
From patterns and roles We're expected to fill To free form and improv And love as thou will
To daily monotony We now must return 'Til next we escape New lessons to learn
