When The Dam Breaks
When the Dam Breaks
Tears endless and bitter, her pain flows free
The thoughts never stop, so just let her be
To talk just brings pain, and tears anew
Thanks for your concern, but she has to go through
Wanting distraction, craving His touch
Needing the comfort of His arms so much
Denies His presence, her composure reels
Distraction insufficient to the stop the pain she feels
Her one offers comfort, but she can’t receive
For guilt holds her back, her doubts unrelieved
The pain of these two weighs heavy on her heart
The cause she always worries, did she play a part?
One offers hope, the other reprieve
Both find beauty in her, but can she believe?
She questions if ever a V can exist
Without fear or doubt, will jealousy persist?
The scales don’t balance, her emotions too raw
In her heart and soul, love is the law
She tries to sort through her feelings and thoughts
All jumbled confusion, the effort for naught
She loves them both, that much is known
But where will they be, when the seeds are all sown
