I feel

entry picture

I feel pride

And I feel proud

But feel fear

And I feel loud

I feel hairs

Beneath my breath

And I feel scared

Of life and death

I feel anger

And I feel free

I feel pain

Beneath my feet

And I feel dark

And so alone

There’s no light

When no one’s home

But I feel loved

In so much hate

When I disappear

I disintegrate

Yet I feel hope

And I feel shame

I can’t see

Through all my pain

Though I feel power

I feel fright

But I haven’t given up the fight

And I feel hope

And I feel love

In skies at night

I’ll look above

I feel loved

The back-and-forth sense and twinge of bathos adds to the flow of this piece.

Nicely done on the rhythm and the word choice didn't feel forced - it felt right.?
