Winter´s Icy Blast

Winter´s Icy Blast

The bear roars his arrival

with bone chilled marrow

Winds clad of ice, a frozen shield

as snow lingers ready to pounce

in darkened shadows of obscurity

Night rules day, the invaders sway

hibernation beckons come

all is gathered in and safely stored

Jack Frost dances with glee

scattering white dust for all to see

Nests exposed in spidery branches

to elements of cruel abandon

Deeper, deeper still snug within

a dormitory season

The reign of gloom has begun

Venture out......Forbid !

better within

Time will take us there

if we cower within

Great line implanted in my mind for future use.

Keith. It sounds like living abroad all that time has turned you nesh.
I hope that you are up to a cold British winter, cos they're forecasting a stinker this year.

loved the poem

Cheers Kevin
