To my sister

What lies ahead is not for sale
Be true, be strong but always fair
You might forget, you might not care
But never fool yourself

Burn castles that we build on sand
Tear down the walls that will not stand

And cry for every dream that failed

Just never let it go

I wish I could avoid mistakes
I wish I had all that it takes
To hide away your heart that breaks
And never let you go

You'll bruise, you'll cry, and you'll feel proud

For living your way right out loud

For every colour, every sound

You'll cherish every day

For every fall that you will take
For every promise that you'll break
Live through the pain because today
You're stronger than before

And I will only love you more
