Christmas Eve Miracle

Merry Christmas to me!

Tonight

In the wee hours of the mellow moon

That shines like a keyhole to Heaven

I have a belly once more that 'knows'

Its God-given design -

To receive my food

And de-construct it

With purpose unparalleled

Re-constructing those elements

That nurture my physical body

Leaving my brain, my 'soul'

Free

To thrive in their own esoteric spheres.

For me

On this blessed night

Once more I have a body of deliberate plan

That takes in nourishment

Processes it

And passes waste

Precise and painless

To re-nourish the physical Earth.

I am in awe of Creation

And Re-creation

The power of the human Mind

Individually – collectively -

Everywhere!

As I creep back into bed I think,

'Miracles are holy

and wholly personal.'

With this lovely thought

I close my eyes to instant sleep.

Captivating stuff Cynthia. An open honesty and exhilaration make it special . I like the use of inverted commas to make special points. It's refreshing not to have anglo saxon words bandied out re the process of digestion. There is another way!

All the best for the new year.

Three more days and POUF! 2018 is gone, into the archives, possibly never to be seen again. Still, I'm posting this. In the next few hours someone might catch it, with some interest, or not.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO SO MANY VALUED 'FRIENDS' ON WOL.
