The dichotomy of love
You opened my eyesÂ
then shut them again
the sun shone
then came the rain
the joyous rapture
and the ceaseless pain
unbridled laughter
that today sounds insane
once a transport of delight
now a trip down memory lane.
You opened my eyesÂ
then shut them again
the sun shone
then came the rain
the joyous rapture
and the ceaseless pain
unbridled laughter
that today sounds insane
once a transport of delight
now a trip down memory lane.

Nostalgia is the color of roses, but is truth really black and white?
Thank you all for the comments and likes.
Great poem, and unfortunately how true - there are always the 2 sides to loving someone. (Don't tell anyone, but I had to look up dichotomy again - di OK = 2 - but the chotomy?) !!
