So Right Yet So Wrong
When I know I'm doing wrong, but it just feels so right
When all I want to do all day is simply hold you tight
Your heart has been so broken, and this I know is true
Just want to stay close with you and you know I'll help you through
There's light at the end of the tunnel, we both can see it there
I'll support you through this time, whether with me or elsewhere
We can get you back on track, if you could give me a chance
Build you up with brick by brick, like the silly kitchen dance
To truly be yourself in the presence of someone else
To talk about your head and heart without anger or pretence
It really means the world to me that you trust me when we talk
It's not an easy thing to do, to truly bare it all
I know you want to go out and enjoy your new found freedom
I just ask for trust and honesty, don't want to tie you down
You know I have these feelings and I know you have them too
So I'll answer on the phone so I can be right here for you
No matter what my day brings, when we're in each other's arms
I know that what's been stressing us can no longer do us harm
We enjoy each other's company and we make each other smile
Why not continue down this road, just linger for a while
It's here I'll end this poem, now I hope you understand
That I don't need any more from you, just simply hold my hand
Talk to me when you're feeling low, tell me what's going on
We'll see where life will take us but for now let's have some fun
