Wedding Dress
I proposed and
she said yes
but what about
a wedding dress?
Could not afford
a dress unless
we robbed a bank
she was not impressed
So my future bride
under some stress
borrowed from a friend
her wedding dress
Then all the guests
said we were blessed
happy that she found
that wedding dress.

To tell us 'bout the ring
You need to rob a jeweler's shop
Can't 'ford this pretty thing
Your wife-to-be she said
"Do this and I'll get thee
A quick divorce on church steps
If you do this to me"
So what will I say happened?
To save your wedding day?
Of course, the ring you borrowed
So what more can I say?
He will keep writing poems
Attracting my response
I cannot help my flippancy
And rhyming nonchalance ?
