Bravery
When a person thinks of bravery,
their answers vary on what type of person you’re
talking to.
Some may say that bravery is an act
of heroism.
Some say it’s courage.
Some say it’s doing what’s right,
even if everyone else will hate them for it.
Some tell you that bravery is to
be in the military.
Some tell you that bravery is being who you are,
even if society shuns you for it.
Some will say that bravery is to keep moving
even though life seems like it’ll only give you
more pain and suffering as you go on.
Some say that bravery is shown every day.
Some say that staying alive even if
life doesn’t seem to have anything worth living for
is brave.
The thing is, they’re all right.
Men and women in the military are brave.
Bravery is courage and heroism.
Bravery is doing what’s right.
Bravery is to keep moving, even if you want to stop.
Bravery is to be yourself
no matter what anyone else tells you.
Bravery is shown every day.
Bravery isn’t limited to one group of people.
Bravery is inside all of us.
No, it isn’t like magic.
Most of the time it’s a choice you make.
It’s all up to you.
Whether or not to be brave is up to you
and you only.
