windy day
The wind’s busy today.
It bustles and hurries
flipping bin lids
as it goes.
The wind’s forgetful today.
It rushes past me,
can’t remember where it’s going,
turns back
and rushes past me
again.
The wind’s playful today.
Stripping the leaves off the trees
to leave them naked.
The wind’s chatty today
laughing and giggling
it raises my skirt
as it swirls by.
The wind’s spiteful today
getting chilly and boisterous
making me wish
I’d put my scarf and gloves on.
The wind’s grumpy today.
It moans and whistles
hums and screeches.
It has a lot to say.
Before it blows away.

Much better,I think.
There is a huge market for children's poetry, ie. poetry for children. You should investigate this. You have a real talent for the beautifully simple, and the simply beautiful.
