What I Got To Keep
I have more age than glorious youth
in short, I have grown long in tooth
while things I say are often bleeped
youth fled but age I got to keep
Age intruded fast as fingers snapped
my energy replaced now with long naps
in staying power I am no longer equipped
a step or two I might have slipped
The ones who watch my waning ways
say I am getting too difficult to persuade
embarrassed by my foul-smelling airs
hope wistfully incompetence is soon declared
It seems that memory so soon took leave
along with all my other faculties
the irony is that only old age I got to keep
It would be kinder were I put to sleep.

dk I had to sleep on this
To know just what to say
Cos age is catching up on me
Now older by one day
It took me ever, ages
To find your blinking poem
Like you I'm ever-aging
I'll fin now with ho hum......
