THE ECHOING GREEN
THE ECHOING GREEN
The Echoing Green
Has turned into a Day’s Dream
The Graying Woods
No more attract the Moods,
The Jungle was remembering
Of her golden age
Of her by gone days
The chirping of birds
And blossoming of fragrantly flowers.
Time has changed
Changed also the notion
No one feels of her presentation
And even of her recognition
All have played the foul
Lead her life in trouble.
Hunters and hooligans’ have looted
Plunderers have plotted
Has been changed into a heaven
For the unsocial and their men
Cutting of trees
Going on increase.
Mansions after mansion
Coming up to accommodate population
Crossing of the vehicles
And passing of the wheels
Has changed her figure
She has become a fugitive forever.
