My golly-gosh, it's certainly a gasser!

Plasma eruptions the size of Texas

Seem like a blow to the Earth's solar plexus!

Mind you, there are those who ignore the sun

And its massive effects on what's seen and done

On this planet of ours that relies on its presence,

Not least for its warmth and illuminescence.

For aeons it's existed to extend its vast range

Of life-giving effect through centuries of change;

Constantly evolving, constantly reforming,

Ever-present reminder of the words "global warming".
