River In Me
I made few vain attempts to
make friendship with a river.
I told a lot everyday
sitting on the bank.
I thought there would be
little ripples to communicate.
The river was calm more than before.
One day I got down into the river
and drenched my whole body.
That day I woke up at midnight.
Getting down from bed I felt
my feet touching water.
A chill wind was blowing.
I smiled and slept again bearing river
in me.

To me, water is always emotion. When I read this I thought of detachment, to protect your feelings, to keep you safe from hurt, but no-one can live like that for long. We've all sat on the banks sometimes, to scared to get in, to feel the current, the power of it, but in the end, we all have to swim. Beautiful.
