Unconditional Love Will Kill Us All
imagine everything in terms of caves
our tribal brains exact the map in real time life-like, you can barely see the wires
but eyes
shifting from vacant to
demonic and the caves electric
as rivers return to the wild
fires and all
Love is now
but for another time, a darkness blooms
our future, you can see it bleed
a once lush horizon with many thorns
some you’ve known since childhood
trusted as a judge,
A priest, a pawn, a lover
now just brains infected
by the ghosts
of another’s lost dreams
and if we choose to Love without discernment it could be
the end of us as they are
sour, so sure in their
Saturnian caps a colossal hijacking
of empathy, the kindest hearts
inverted, six becomes nine, ALL
is mind becomes ME v you
and we slowly exit worlds of bliss
through a process of whatever
is the opposite of mitosis
