Great poem M C last two lines says it all
Ruth Poet's Pride is picking up the winnings
Poet's Lady is the gambling poet who did it!
Don it was a sure bet you would spot the difference!
You can lead a horse to water
But consider this at leisure:
Any betting soul really oughta
Know you pay for racing's pleasure!

Well after all my carryon Nige it wasn't meant to be a haiku after all. I should have seen the lack of haik in the title...?
Well Nigel I don't bet often, but not long after I joined here I bet on 2 horses. One of called 'Poet's Pride' and the other was 'Poet's Lady' , both won first place ,reckon that poetry is the the charm!
Haiku Master Don, I love the short free style poem. I feel it has a certain impact that just gets you. If it can be a haiku all the better, but as long as it is not stated in the title that it is a haiku it's art for art's sake and it's all good, because then there are no rules.
You bet Nige....?
Thanks Ruth if you have a bet on winning some cash just put a quick line or two on the back and if it wins it will be your lucky charm!
Tom so true
Don
did this one quick off the mark
thought about maybe doing a change then just left it as it is
you have an eagle eye my friend
Something not right here

Wake up Don my boy
