They want to come to England
The brochures say it's great
A land of milk and honey
On your arrival wait

Bit wonky, but who cares
There's plenty space for everyone
Your pad has got x stairs
Nothing like the hovel
That you are fleeing from
Some homeless might be on the street
But they are friendly, Poms

I have this sort of conversation with friends and we come to our own conclusions ..
Language, tolerance, opportunity etc. However, we are too obliging for our own good resulting in unsustainable levels of immigration, which in turn provided the impetus for Brexit.
It would be good to hear from immigrants to get their take on this.
