Be careful what you might meet!
Jim was walking by the cemetery alone one night,
He saw a female figure his eyes lit up, she gave him a fright.
She sat on a grave her dark eyes gleaming,
But behind her veil there was something scheming.
"What do you want, maybe a treat?"
"Yes please said Jim,when can we meet?"
"Meet me tomorrow night and we shall see."
Jim's heart leapt in his chest full of expectancy.
The day went by Jim went to the cemetery,
To meet maybe the girl who was his bride to be.
Jim kissed her hand and floated away,
Couldn't wait to see her on another day.
But behind the veil was a girl who was a victim of thunder,
Lightening had struck her and taken her under.
She inhabited a grave in the cemetery centre,
She yearned for a companion, the devil her mentor.
Jim was excited and expected bliss,
"Show me your face, let me give you a kiss."
The skeleton's withered arms trapped Jim,
And into her tomb she dragged him.
The earth engulfed them there was no way out,
Locked in the arms of a skeleton, who knew what she was about.
Jim and his lover long since dead,
Together asleep in their wormy bed.
A message to trick or treaters
Be careful what you might meet,
When you call at a witch's house for a treat

When black cats prowl and pumpkins gleam,
May luck be yours on Halloween.
