Strong Enough?

Strong enough to shed a tear of pain for another,

Strong enough to find no shred of shame in your tears,

Strong enough to honour your father and mother,

Strong enough to know the name of your fears,

Strong enough to stand alone in the maelstrom,

Strong enough to ask for help when it's needed,

Strong enough to recognise whence the storm hails from,

Strong enough to recognise when loss must be conceded,

Strong enough to keep your battered heart ever gentle,

Strong enough of mind to deeply understand,

Strong enough of judgement to never be judgemental,

Strong enough to truly call yourself a man.

Couldn't agree more! Crying isn't a sign of weakness, definitely. Really moving poem.

And that Don, is the absolute truth. I wear every tear I've ever cried as a proud reminder that, just like everybody else on this planet, I'm human.

Jason,

a poem which challenges who we are. It is a yard stick which is interesting to read in relation to oneself. A good piece of work and well thought out.

Thanks
Keith
